2,000 call centre jobs from India back to Britain announced BT chief executive Ian Livingston. In India the company has a considerable presence where the telecom major has a customer service staff of 11,000 employees.

Livingston was asked at the group’s annual meeting by an investor, about the group’s planning to close call centers in India. Livingston unveils the plans to regress jobs in his reaction to the question. BT Spokesperson said in India had nothing to do with the quality of service offered.

This is not regarding customer service as the service in our operations approximately the world is of extremely alike standards. It is regarding the effectual deployment of our resources.

He also said we have opportunities to carry some activities, conceded out by our partners, rear from outer surface the UK to permanent BT employees in the UK who are capable to do this work.
